Abstract

Hypertension remains a significant global health problem, including in Indonesia. It is a primary risk factor for various diseases such as heart disease, kidney failure, diabetes, and stroke, often referred to as a 'silent killer'. A health assessment conducted in Sungai Kitano Village revealed 108 individuals suffering from hypertension across various age groups. Contributing factors include unhealthy lifestyle habits such as consumption of fatty foods and salty fish, as well as non-adherence to medication. According to data from the Martapura Timur Community Health Center, hypertension ranks as the most prevalent disease. The purpose of this research is providing nursing care through the intervention of cucumber infused water administration to clients with the nursing diagnosis of risk for ineffective cerebral tissue perfusion. Method of this research is observational descriptive case study research design. By carrying out nursing assessments, data analysis, establishing nursing diagnoses, interventions, implementation and evaluation. The results of nursing care that had been carried out After six days with the primary intervention of consuming 200 ml of cucumber infused water twice daily, the client's blood pressure decreased from 149/92 mmHg to 138/94 mmHg. Cucumber infused water contains magnesium, which helps improve blood flow, while potassium can decrease renin secretion, thereby lowering blood pressure. The conclusion of this research there was a decrease in blood pressure after consuming cucumber infused water twice daily for 6 days, both in the morning and evening
