Ms The Effect of Health Education Using Leaflet Media on Knowledge of Dengue Fever Among Students at SD Negeri 176, Majelis Hidayah Village
Abstract
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an acute infectious disease caused by the dengue virus and transmitted to humans through the bites of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of education using leaflet media on knowledge about DHF among students at SD Negeri Majelis Hidayah Village. Method: This study used a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest approach. The sample consisted of 20 respondents. Data were collected through interviews using questionnaires before and after the educational intervention. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate analysis with a t-test. Results: The study showed an increase in the average knowledge score of elementary school students from 5.0952 before the intervention to 8.6667 after the intervention. Statistical test results showed a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05). Conclusion: Education using leaflet media is effective in improving knowledge about Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) among students at SD Negeri Majelis Hidayah Village
