ABSTRACT
We often find hyperactive children in children with autism. This study aims to determine the challenges and difficulties of parents in reducing hyperactivity with diet and play exercise. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the interview method to obtain data. The total patient population, 20 samples were taken. The sample selection process was carried out by purposive sampling. Based on the data obtained in this study, it can be concluded that parents play a major role in the success of diet and play exercise programs to reduce children's hyperactivity. Parents are fully involved and actively participate in choosing the right food for their children and choosing the play exercise method while still coordinating with a team of doctors, nutritionists and physiotherapists. Parents also play a full role in providing understanding of children, families and the environment around children
