Implementation Of Local Goverment Policies In The Utilization Of Groundwater For Business Activities

Abstract

Excessive use of groundwater depletes reserves of
groundwater resources in a short period of time,
resulting in various impacts. This study discusses
policies regarding the use of groundwater in Cirebon
Regency and the government's efforts to overcome
threats due to groundwater exploitation. The research
method used is empirical juridical. Arrangements
regarding the legal basis for the use, extraction and
protection of groundwater are regulated in Law
Number 11 of 1974 concerning Irrigation, Minister of
Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation Number
